Barcodes can be created in InDesign using IDAutomation Barcode fonts along with a free font tool to encode/format the data. In this video tutorial, an encoder for Excel, the Excel Barcode Add In, is used to encode the data. The formatted data is exported as a CSV and then a data merge is performed in Adobe InDesign CS5.
