Leave the first texture set’s Layer Style to Normal, then set the other two to Multiply. This will darken the background and apply some nice color gradients.

It’s a themed illustration about “No Beauty,” this hides an idea that no beauty lasts forever. Suddenly all that’s great and beautiful falls apart. All the happiness is gone with the colorful pieces. The final outcome has its own mood, even thou it’s colorful, it’s still kinda frightening.

When I was creating this photo manipulation I wanted to do a really wide format. In the next few steps, I will show you how to replace some elements to make your picture wide as well. But if you don´t like this format, feel free to skip these few steps.
Open the main photo. Press L ( Lasso Tool) and select the river and some trees around it. You don´t need to be too careful because we’ll retouch all parts later.

We start off by searching for a mobile phone image. Be sure it also has a flat background color. This can be found on stock sites like Stock.xchng.
Once you’ve found a mobile phone image you like that has a big enough resolution, go to Photoshop and open a new document (Ctrl+N). Then choose a color for the background layer. I chose a light blue/grey (#cad6dd). Select the Ellipse Tool (U), and make an oval form with it. Then transform it over whole of the image.

First off I opened the original image resulted from the shooting with the main purpose being isolating the character and the shadows on the floor. First thing I noticed was that his face was not expressive enough for what I had in mind.
Before we begin cutting out the character I needed to replace his head with one from another picture where he looked more optimistic. I always shoot a lot of pictures every session, so when situations like this arise I have plenty of other images to choose from.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to create a Poser figure, create a shatter effect and render it in 3DStudio Max, then use Photoshop and some simple stock images to create a brilliant and visually stunning water explosion effect. Even if you don’t have Poser or 3DSMax, we’ve included the render in a PNG format for you to play with, and you’ll still learn valuable techniques.

We will start our image in Adobe Illustrator. We could have done it entirely in Adobe Photoshop but I like to use the right tool for the right type of work, if there’s vector I will always use Illustrator, it’s easier and faster. In Illustrator select the Star Tool and create a star.
