Creating Flaming Text with Photoshop

In the spirit of Halloween, I decided I would create a tutorial on how to create text engulfed in flames. Sorry no pumpkins, maybe next time 
. This tutorial is a bit of a challenge, so if your a beginner, some practice will be required.
Create a new document, 600×360 pixels (72 DPI).
Set background layer to black (#000).
